Bed wetting (officially known as “Enuresis”) can have many different causes and on-sets. So if you are trying to stop bed wetting, or helping a child to stop bed wetting, it is important to look at the individual situation when putting together a treatment plan.
Many times bed wetting runs in the family, so it is more common for a person to start bed wetting if they have siblings or parents who have wet the bed in the past. But don’t worry, bed wetting is curable and most people grow out of it within a short time.
There are several types of bedwetting treatments that can be followed:

- Bed wetting alarms can effectively stop the habit. Many people wet the bed when they are in a deep sleep, and these alarms work to train the mind to wake up when they need to urinate. The alarm will go off when there is any moisture that is felt.
- Bed wetting pads are a good way to help keep the mess contained while a child is learning to stop wetting the bed. These pads are thin, absorbent sheets that go under the bed sheets. They help to protect the mattress from any messes.
